On March 11th, we have issued our statement regarding the measures we have been taking to prepare for and mitigate the risk of COVID-19 to our clients, staff, and practitioners.
As you are all aware, the situation regarding COVID-19 is constantly changing on a daily basis. We are updating our statement and hoping to ensure all of you that The Pacific Wellness Institute takes the COVID-19 threat seriously, and we are taking all reasonable measures to prepare for and mitigate the risk of COVID-19 to our clients, staff, and practitioners.
As per recommendation from our health professional regulatory colleges, we are currently only serving clients that required our treatments for their urgent, essential health issues.
We will continue to keep you updated as the situation changes.

What We Ask You:
Please help prevent the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19). Please review the following list. If any of the following apply to you, please reschedule your appointment and seek medical attention:
1) You are experiencing fever, chills, cough, difficulty breathing, or have been in close contact with someone with those symptoms within the last two weeks.
2) You have traveled to foreign countries within the last two weeks.
3) You have been in close contact with someone who has gone to the high-risk areas* within the last two weeks.
4) You have been in contact with someone who has been diagnosed with Covid-19 within the last two weeks.
We also ask that if you are not feeling well, no matter what your symptoms are, please let us know via phone call or email as soon as possible. We are waiving any cancellation fees related to health issues.
Please practice the best hygiene and social distancing as you have been hearing many times recently. Wash your hands frequently, use sanitizers, no hugging, no handshakes.
For individuals who are not applicable to the situation listed 1)-4) above and having urgent, essential health issues needed to be addressed, you are welcome to visit our clinic. (Please Note: For the safety of our staff and other clients, you will be asked to sign a waiver form confirming items 1) to 4) upon your arrival. Thank you for your understanding)
Since our clinic is serving the limited number of clients now, we are able to provide our clients with a sanitary, low volume, and calming environment in this time of concern.

In light of recent events and in the interest of our clients, staff, and public, we are limiting our services at the reception, so that there would be no lineup at the front desk. All transactions including appointments, payments, receipts are made online or over the telephone. In order not to create a crowd in our waiting area, we are asking clients to come shortly before their appointment, and leave the premises promptly.
Our Commitment and Procedures
We want to be fully transparent about our operation:
Our Chiropractor has just returned from a short trip from Arizona. He is not exhibiting any symptoms, however, he has been self-quarantined for 14 days.
We can assure you that all other staff members have not been to traveling to foreign countries including the high-risk regions (e.g., China, South Korea, Iran, Italy, Japan, France, Egypt, Washington State, California, NY, and also on Cruise ships) in the past several months.
As always, all staff members are required to follow a rigorous hygiene practice, including frequent and thorough handwashing, disinfecting treatment tables, door nobs, equipment, and other areas). We have elevated these hygiene and disinfectant practices to the highest level.
For a limited time, we are offering some of our consultation services via telephone.
Acupuncture Consultation: Usually, all new acupuncture patients (or existing patients with a new condition) are required an initial consultation appointment first, before they are able to schedule the treatment appointments. For a limited time, we are offering the initial appointment via telephone and a video session.
Kampo Herbal Medicine (Chinese Medicine) Consultation: Available via telephone
Naturopathic Telepractice Service
Current clients: We welcome clients to continue on their track towards wellbeing. We understand that your non-emergency health goals are a long-term priority and feel that taking feasible steps to achieve them during this uncertain period of time may also help to alleviate some of the stress that can arise from placing them on an indefinite pause.
During a Telepractice appointment, your ND will be able to review your current treatment plan, evaluate your progress, and determine whether any modifications or new recommendations should be made based on the changes to your health, as well as any changes influenced by the current state of affairs.
New clients: If you would like to consult with our ND for an initial appointment, please note that, as briefly stated in our expressed consent for Telepractice Service, initial and follow-up sessions will have limitations due to the vital importance of the in-person intake; these limitations can not be listed as a result of their infinite and case-by-case event probability. That said, we imagine that there are a number of individuals who would like to use this time to receive helpful guidance around nutrition and/or lifestyle measures during this time.
